Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Virginia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shifts available. Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 12 RNs, 2-3 Surgical Techs. Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 6-7 RNs, 1 Surgical Tech. AWHONN-standard patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1 depending on acuity.

• 16 LDR beds, 3 operating rooms, 3 triage rooms, 3 recovery rooms in a dedicated women's hospital
• High-volume facility performing over 3,000 deliveries annually with award-winning outcomes
• State-of-the-art equipment including Novii monitors, iMobile units, pass-through skin-to-skin C-section drapes, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, and aromatherapy
• 24/7 in-house support: Hospitalists, Midwives, Anesthesia, and Neonatologists
• EMR systems: CPN and Meditech
• Patient-centered care model emphasizing individual birth preferences and breastfeeding support

Requirements:

• Current Labor & Delivery experience within the previous 2 years
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (current)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS certifications (current)
• Experience in labor, delivery, recovery, triage, antepartum care, circulating for C-sections, first-hour baby care, and breastfeeding assistance
• Preferred: Experience at facilities with 3,000+ births per year
• Strong cultural competency and ability to thrive in a diverse environment
