Pharmacist Team Lead
An industry-leading compounding pharmacy is seeking two Pharmacist Team Leads to manage their Data and Logistics Team. This is a direct hire opportunity located on-site in Sandy Springs, GA, offering a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional compounded medication services.
In this role, you will lead a team of pharmacy technicians responsible for high-volume prescription processing, data entry, order tracking, and account management. Your leadership will set the standard for accuracy, efficiency, and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will have a robust pharmacy background, experience in retail or specialty pharmacy leadership, and strong skills in mentoring and managing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a pharmacy technician team, maintaining high morale and accountability
- Perform PV1 (Pharmacist Verification 1) and prescription verifications with precision and compliance
- Oversee customer service operations, handling escalations from patients and healthcare providers
- Manage workflow, logistics, and data organization to ensure seamless communication between departments
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining zero-defect quality in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacists, lab managers, and shipping leads to achieve shared goals
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Georgia Pharmacist License in good standing
- Proven leadership or management experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings
- Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in prescription processing and PV1 verification
- Strong team management capabilities with a client-focused communication style
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and time management skills
- Availability to work MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM, with occasional early meetings
