Job Summary and Responsibilities As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care. Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome. Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner. ** This is an on-call based role** On-Call Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 1930–0730 (Subject to change to Monday–Friday based on unit needs). Compensation: Paid at a flat rate of 38-hours per week for 60-hours of on-call availability. Staffing Model: Two (2) RNs are on call at all times to ensure adequate coverage for the PACU. Must sign a 6-month employment contract. Attendance Policy: Employees are permitted no more than four (4) missed on-call shifts within any 6-month period (exclusion of non-assigned holidays) . Holiday Rotation: Participation in the unit’s holiday rotation is mandatory. Holiday Requirement: Must cover two (2) holidays per year, with shift coverage from 0700–0700 (24 hours). Job Requirements Required Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact Preferred Previous PACU experience or strong clinical background Previous PACU/ICU/ED experience One year of Nursing experience Bachelors Degree in Nursing Where You'll Work St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team as an On-Call RN. You will play a critical role in supporting our high-volume surgical and procedural environment, ensuring seamless patient care during overnight hours. Our unit supports Surgery, the GI Lab, and the Pain Clinic, featuring 13 pre-op rooms, 19 PACU bays, 3 GI/Endoscopy rooms, 1 pain procedure room, and 10 OR procedure rooms. We maintain a high-volume daily average of approximately 40 surgical cases, 15 GI procedures, and 30 pain procedures.
