Pay Rate: $22.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to post guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, disruptions, and/or policy violations through visible presence and professional communication.
• Document incidents, visitor interactions, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information with supervisors, staff, and/or public agency representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• A Virginia DCJS license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
