Project Overview:Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Job Summary:In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution. #LI-BH1Major Responsibilities:Coordinates cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projectsCoordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needsIdentifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfacesMonitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total projectConducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Collects and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement. Coordinates cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standardsCoordinates the development and accuracy of cost reportsPrepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and proceduresOversees the maintenance and upkeep of detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness including facilitation support during the risk workshops, risk identification sessions and other risk related activitiesDelivers training sessions and facilitates workshopsEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems driven by data.Skilled in oral and written communication.Advanced proficiency with Project Controls operating systems, including Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office Applications.Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.Total Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
