Position duties

· Collaborate with business unit leadership from Graham Corporation USA and GIPL Leadership in India and advise / assist to implement Company goals and objectives while supplying expertise and guidance on financial processes and policies in line with best business practices 

· Responsible for oversight of monthly financial activities required for closure of books of accounts, ensuring financial close checklist activities are timely completed and financial records are submitted accurately

· Responsible for coordination of annual budget and recurring quarterly forecasts of India business unit

· Collaborate and liaison with various stakeholders of the Company, including external and internal auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and other Company appointed professionals as needed

· Ensure adherence of Company’s Delegation of Authority

· Partner with business unit leadership in development of project cost analyses, return on investment assessment for capital expenditures, and other financial modeling activities 

· Be a compliance champion for both India and USA financial laws and practices

· Champion a culture of financial accountability and literacy across the organization.

· Demonstrate and enforce the highest ethical standards and financial integrity in all reporting and transactions, setting a key example for the team and upholding the company's fiduciary responsibilities.

Develop organization, capabilities, candidate and business pipeline

· Support initiatives to streamline core financial processes (budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, non-recurring accounting transaction evaluation) by leveraging technology and automation, freeing up staff for high-value strategic analysis.

· Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key financial controls and workflows to ensure operational consistency and compliance.

· Provide forward-looking analytical support to the management team on the financial viability and return on investment (ROI) of new products, markets, or capital projects.

Professional Development

· Stay abreast of evolving financial technology trends and advanced data analytics tools relevant to the finance function.

· Actively seek opportunities for leadership training to enhance strategic thinking and effective communication skills.

Qualifications: 

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required. 

Education and Training

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience: 

· 5-10 years of controllership/financial reporting with a publicly traded company, or comparable extent of public accounting experience in publicly traded company environments

· 3-5 years in management or leadership role
