IT Asset Management Specialist II

Be a key member of a team that is responsible for the execution, administration and delivery of CME Group's IT Asset Management standards. The role serves as a subject matter resource to ensure accurate asset data, support audit readiness, and other IT Asset lifecycle processes. Additionally, this role will manage and execute CME Group IT Asset stock rooms and inventory daily operations per CME Group IT Asset Management policies. The Asset Management Specialist II demonstrates initiative, cross-functional collaboration, and contributes to continuous improvement in ITAM practices.The IT Asset Management Team (ITAM) at CME Group integrates the physical, technological, contractual, and financial aspects of information technology assets which includes the following:Control inventory that is purchased and used.Select the proper tools for managing assets.Manage the asset life cycle from planning to disposal.Achieve compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Improve IT service to end users.Create standards and processes for managing the life cycle of assets.What You'll Get:A supportive environment fostering career progression, continuous learning, and an inclusive culture.Broad exposure to CME's diverse products, asset classes, and cross-functional teams.A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Explore our full range of benefitsWhat You'll Do:Maintain an in-depth understanding of IT assets in place, lifecycle of these assets from requisition through retirement, as well as existing procedures, policies, and tools to manage them.Plan, monitor, and document IT Assets to ensure compliance with CME Corporate Standards, Policies, and vendor contracts.Analyze and identify areas for process improvements. Propose action plans and implement updates approved by management.Review inventory (physical and automated) for variances with Asset Database records and resolve.Interface with other teams/managers as required with respect to asset data.Respond to requests from asset owners, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Asset Management data information.Ensure asset management standards and procedures are being followed across the entire organization.Track, count, and report on the location, description, ownership, and utilization of end user equipment.Review and reconcile asset data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.Assist in ensuring that physical assets are protected and accounted for during receiving, deploying, storage, and removal/decommissioning processes through audits and controls.Support audits related to IT assets, including collection of asset information and leading asset inventory projects.Work closely with the business to manage equipment requests, including on-boarding, extensions, and off-boarding.Oversee stock room activities including inventory audits and missing asset reporting.Respond to escalated asset management issues and determine appropriate course of action to resolve issues.What You'll Bring:Professional experience in Asset Management or inventory and stock controlAbility to work with large data sets and produce analytical reports from sameAbility to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and oral communication skillsWilling to work in a team environment; flexibility to work on multiple disparate tasksCME Group is committed to offering a competitive total rewards package for our employees that recognizes their contributions to the business and reflects our long-term investment in their future. The pay range for this role is $35.24-$58.70. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
