Associate - Litigation Class Action

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate for its Litigation group, focusing on Class Actions, in San Francisco, CA. This role is open to candidates across the US, with a preference for those based in the New York metropolitan area. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions. Manage complex cases from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative case strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities such as trials and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Engage in professional development opportunities. Contribute to firm programs and pro bono work. Requirements Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm. Experience with class action defense, including securities, data privacy, or consumer litigation. Experience managing multi-matter dockets. Previous federal clerkship is preferred. Strong persuasive legal writing skills. Experience with large-scale discovery. Education Juris Doctor (JD) Certifications Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and good professional judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Excellent organizational skills and persuasive communication.
