Senior Event Manager – Overview The Senior Event Manager is a detail‑oriented, organized professional who manages and executes multiple events simultaneously for CAA’s high‑profile clients. The role works well under pressure, makes timely decisions, and remains a positive creative thinker. They demonstrate responsibility, independence, sociability, confidence, self‑motivation, and flexibility. The manager ensures that both Clients and Buyers have all their needs met before, during, and after each event. Responsibilities Manages and builds strong relationships with Clients and serves as the primary point of contact for all needs. Acts as a liaison between all parties and communicates accurate, comprehensive information to Clients, Buyers, teammates, and internal departments. Ensures all aspects of Client participation at events are considered, discussed, and met to exceed expectations. Manages Client travel, including negotiating and maintaining travel budgets and expenses; provides immediate support for travel issues, including nights and weekends. Provides advance and on‑site support for high‑profile Clients. Liaises with private and local security to coordinate assistance as needed. Negotiates, organizes, and implements special requests by Clients or Buyers (e.g., book signings, autograph sessions, conference calls, riders). Serves as a peer mentor to junior Event Manager team members. Makes independent decisions under high‑pressure circumstances in a cross‑functional team environment. Reviews and approves marketing materials, including press releases, advertisements, and publications related to Client participation in events. Creates comprehensive briefs through meticulous planning, detailed discussions, contract details, and research, ensuring all parties’ expectations are aligned for flawless execution. Remains current on Client biographies, topics, and preferences to serve as the main knowledge point for Buyers during planning. Maintains Client records to keep all departments informed of the most up‑to‑date information. Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with Clients and Buyers. Delivers unparalleled service, providing 24/7 support, and creates unmatched value and trust with Clients and Buyers. Qualifications BA/BS from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience with event planning and/or travel management. Availability to work an extended schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings, as required. Excellent track record of high‑level customer service experience.Proven ability to build and drive critical relationship management components. Aptitude for technology, media, and internet‑based research and applications. Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM databases. Experience demonstrating the ability to multitask and constantly reprioritize workload. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in the lecture or travel industry is a plus. Location This role will be located onsite, Monday‑Friday at our Los Angeles office. Compensation The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $82,000 to $95,000. The position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
