Exciting Opportunity: Pharmacist - Acute Care - Variable (4x10)

Job Description:
- Position: Pharmacist
- Specialty: Acute Care
- Shift: Variable 4x10
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Required Certifications: Registered Oklahoma Pharmacist
- Years of Experience: 1+ years

Unit Information:
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: McKesson Automation, Omnicell Systems, POS, ScriptPro, Baxa Systems
- EMR: EPIC

Key Responsibilities:
- Review records of patients to determine the appropriateness of medication therapy
- Evaluate patient's condition to ensure all issues are being treated
- Develop effective medication plans that minimize the risk of adverse side effects
- Consult with prescribers, nurses, and patients on medications and doses
- Advise on correct administration of drugs
- Assess the results and outcomes of pharmaceutical treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Keep accurate documentation of medication plans and patient progress
- Routinely consult with physicians and nurses concerning medication appropriateness, side effects, and current care path management
- Participate in the education of students and residents as necessary
