Recreation Services Coordinator

The Town of Boxborough is seeking a creative energetic and community-minded professional to join our team as a Recreation Services Coordinator!
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together developing engaging programs and turning creative ideas into meaningful experiences for residents of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in recreation community engagement communications and event coordination along with the initiative to identify opportunities and help shape the future of recreation services in Boxborough.
The Recreation Services Coordinator plays an important role in connecting residents with programs activities and events that enhance quality of life and strengthen community connections. This is a communications-focused and highly collaborative position responsible for researching developing promoting coordinating and evaluating recreation programs and events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the development coordination and implementation of recreation programs and activities for residents of all ages.
- Coordinate program schedules logistics registrations and related administrative activities.
- Research community interests and emerging recreation trends to identify opportunities for new and innovative programs.
- Assist with developing and launching new programs and initiatives that respond to community needs.
- Promote recreation programs and events through social media newsletters websites print materials and other communication channels.
- Track participation program outcomes and community feedback to help evaluate and improve offerings.
- Collaborate with Town staff community organizations vendors instructors volunteers and other partners.
- Support special events and other community-focused initiatives.
