Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Schedule: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts. Weekend coverage required.

Assignment Details:

• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Daily census: 1

Requirements:

• RN with neonatal/NICU experience; Level II NICU experience preferred
• 2 years' experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP or NRP Advanced

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates with conditions such as prematurity, RDS, and hypoglycemia.
• Manage ventilation support and other respiratory therapies, including CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Administer phototherapy and manage feeding support through various methods (breast, bottle, gavage).
• Conduct sepsis workups, including administering antibiotics/antivirals and blood products as needed.
• Perform and manage central line care and IV maintenance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support neonatal health and monitor progress.

Compliance / Notes:

• 50-mile radius rule: No local candidates
• State or compact nursing license must be in hand at the time of submittal
• Onboarding: Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation/modules completed onsite; modules non-billable
• Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
