Packer

As a Packer, you will be responsible for building skids for boxes and managing shipping orders. Your role will involve using various tools such as cross saws, miter saws, nail guns, staple guns, and banding equipment. You will also perform quality inspections, stencil, and enter all shipping information. Maintaining records of equipment maintenance, keeping work areas clean, and following safety procedures are key aspects of this position. Additionally, you will move large pieces of metal using a forklift, with training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Build skids for boxes and manage shipping orders.
• Use cross saws, miter saws, nail guns, staple guns, and banding equipment.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure product standards are met.
• Stencil and enter shipping information accurately.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance and ensure tools are in working order.
• Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures.
• Move large pieces of metal using a forklift; training available if necessary.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/8 of an inch, with training available.
• At least 6 months of packing/packaging experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse settings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred, though training is provided.
• General computer operation skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
