IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands‑on and remote IT desktop and system support for various computing technologies. Major Functions/Responsibilities Provides onsite and remote tier 1 and 2 hardware and software support for end-user technical issues. Monitors and maintains hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance and identifies potential issues proactively. Responds promptly to critical system alerts to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations. Performs security checks on applications and systems to ensure a secure and stable environment. Collaborates with other team members and vendors to resolve issues. Escalates and coordinates complex end-user issues with higher-tier support teams and follows through to resolution. Coordinates new hire onboarding and termination‑related IT and facility tasks. Assists with IT inventory and asset management. Documents IT and facility related issues and their resolutions for future reference. Collaborates with the property management group to assist with maintaining our facility and property. Performs various facility related tasks and assists end‑users with their facility requests. Assists with researching new technology products for evaluation and deployment. Requirements/Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technology related field. In lieu of a degree, 2-4 years’ of corporate Service Desk support experience. Strong proficiency in PC hardware and software and Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications. Experience with virtualization technologies like Citrix Workspace. Experience with using and managing Service Desk ticketing systems like Manage Engine, ServiceNow, etc. Familiarity with supporting application development systems and languages. Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Works under general direction and mentors end-users. Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support. Has a proactive and detail‑oriented approach to work. Ability to lift and move computer and facility equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Other Considerations Ability to support and interact at the highest professional level with senior executives. Ability to produce quality deliverables against specified timelines. Good verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time. Has a passion for learning new technologies and staying current in industry trends. Ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion. Evidence of being self‑motivated and driven.
