Staff Accountant

Location: Shelby, NC
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Immediate Opportunity

Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is partnering with an established manufacturing company in Shelby, NC, to hire an on-site Staff Accountant with a strong Accounts Receivable focus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys AR management, month-end close support, and cross-functional collaboration with a global finance team.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily AR-related accounting entries and customer payment tracking
• Perform AR aging analysis and customer account reconciliations
• Monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue receivables, and support collection activities
• Resolve customer payment discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support month-end closing, including bank reconciliation, sale analysis, and accruals
• Enter and post journal entries
• Serve as backup to the Finance Supervisor for the weekly payment run
• Assist headquarters with ad hoc data reporting and business data organization as needed
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with cross-departmental and international teams

Qualifications

• ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred
• Advance Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with global teams; experience working with international headquarters is a plus

Marsha is the Shelby office Service Manager who oversees daily recruiting and staffing operations.

In 1996, she came to Personnel Services Unlimited seeking temporary employment. After completing several assignments, she joined the PSU Staffing team and found her dream job helping others, just like her, find great jobs and meaningful careers. Marsha has her CTS certification from the National Association of Personnel Consultants.
