Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Full Job Description Job Description We are an established yet growing commercial & industrial roofing company with an unflinching commitment to provide quality workmanship and top-notch customer service! Cenvar Roofing Commercial/Industrial has an immediate opening for a Safety Coordinator. This position is based out of our Corporate office in Lynchburg, VA with regular travel throughout Central Virginia to cover the service territories. The successful candidate will have 2 years of professional experience in construction and/or general industry safety. Safety Coordinator Duties Perform routine safety and policy enforcement inspections to ensure employees and contractors are operating safely to OSHA and Cenvar standards Recognize the need for, present ideas, and execute changes with executive approval Issue violation notices and stop work orders when necessary and appropriate Coordinate and conduct safety training as needed Keep and track daily logs, including photographs taken during inspections Provide written, well-organized documentation of findings Ability to build and maintain a rapport with employees and contractors that fosters a collaborative work environment As we are a growing company, you understand that the territory you service has the potential to expand Other safety, training, and compliance duties as assigned Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Cenvar Commercial/Industrial insurance policy High school diploma OSHA 30 for General Industry and/or Construction, or the ability to obtain the training within 90 days of hire At least 2 years of relevant work history Experience with construction job sites and equipment, and/or experience with manufacturing or distribution facilities and equipment Must have basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Climbing, reading, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, crawling, standing and walking without reasonable accommodation and in all weather conditions Able to work in confined spaces or at heights without accommodation FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License or the ability to get one during course of employment.
