Description Nursing Assistant - Progress Care at St Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts. The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to: personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL's, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations. Required Qualifications: Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred qualifications: Upon hire: Nursing Assistant certification For Other Depts: Acute care or specialty experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
