Support student communication and learning as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with opportunities available across various educational levels. This contract role offers four openings spread across K-8, Pre K-8, Pre K-4, and High School settings, with two sites serving self-contained classrooms. Engage with a diverse student population and collaborate with dedicated educators to make a lasting impact.

Qualifications:

  • Holds the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Connecticut Department of Health License (current and in good standing)
  • Teacher Certification 061 as required by state guidelines
  • Experience providing pediatric, school-based speech-language services preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in educational settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders for students in Pre K through High School
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to identified student needs
  • Provide direct, evidence-based therapy to support students in reaching academic and functional goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, and progress notes
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to student support teams
