Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide acute emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting, managing a diverse patient population with varying levels of urgency. Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival, implementing appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR system, Cerner.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with recent ER nursing experience of at least 2 years.
• Demonstrate certification in BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred.
• Possess or be willing to obtain TNCC, ENPC, NRP, CEN, CPEN, or CTRN certifications.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a 7-bed, seasonal ER environment with flexible staffing needs.
