About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience depending on the specialty License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis Description: Provide and coordinate home nursing care according to physicians' orders. Ensure care is delivered based on agency policies and procedures. Utilize the nursing process competently in all aspects of care. Responsible for supervising and evaluating Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Conduct home visits and attend periodic office meetings. Transport is required; reliable transportation and current driver's license are necessary. Must have agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients served per day is 5-8. Work involves a variety of visit types including Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. Documentation and travel activities hold different point values contributing to weekly productivity expectations. Contractors may float to nearby clinics for additional hours if needed. Competency in HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis is necessary for compliance. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. No guaranteed hours are included in this contract. Clinicians must accept all patients scheduled regardless of distance. Travel may require up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Local candidates are accepted. Must be comfortable with drives that may exceed 20 minutes between patients.
