We are looking for a Portfolio Program Manager to join our Delivery Management Office (DMO) and support our Accounting IT and Accounting business divisions. This role will serve as a key connection point between business strategy, technology initiatives, and project execution, helping ensure the organization is focused on the right work and that projects are aligned to broader business goals.

This person will manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives, working closely with Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to translate strategy into an actionable plan. The team is currently transitioning toward an Agile way of working, so this person will play an important role in helping bring structure, consistency, and collaboration to that transition.

What You'll Do

• Manage and provide oversight for a portfolio of projects and initiatives supporting the Accounting IT and Accounting business divisions.
• Partner closely with business and technology leaders to understand strategic priorities and ensure the portfolio is aligned to business goals.
• Help determine and communicate what work should be prioritized across the portfolio and ensure Project Managers understand the broader strategy behind their initiatives.
• Work closely with Project Managers to make sure projects are following established processes, priorities, and strategic direction.
• Provide portfolio-level guidance and visibility for large, complex initiatives, such as an S/4HANA upgrade or other major business transformation efforts.
• Monitor the portfolio to ensure projects are progressing in alignment with the overall strategy, process, timelines, and expected outcomes.
• Connect the work happening across individual projects back to the larger business strategy and organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with other Portfolio Managers and DMO leadership to ensure consistency across portfolios and identify opportunities for better coordination.
• Partner closely with Emily, Patrick, and other key stakeholders within the DMO and Accounting organization.
• Help support the organization's transition toward Agile practices and ways of working.
• Identify risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and gaps across the portfolio and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, communication, and visibility across a collection of related projects rather than focusing on the day-to-day management of individual projects.
• As the role evolves, there may be opportunities to expand portfolio responsibilities into additional business areas, potentially including HR.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in portfolio management, program management, PMO/DMO, or a similar role overseeing multiple projects and initiatives.
• Strong understanding of how technology initiatives support and connect to broader business strategy.
• Experience working with Project Managers and helping provide direction, governance, prioritization, and strategic alignment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technology stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating at a strategic level while still understanding how projects are being executed.
• Experience working in an organization that is adopting or transitioning toward Agile practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a portfolio.
• Ability to identify connections, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across multiple projects.
