ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
Create source-to-target mappings and integrate data from diverse sources including relational databases, flat files, Hive, and REST APIs.
Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and views.
Perform performance tuning of ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, databases, and SQL queries.
Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts to automate ETL processes.
Participate in data analysis, data validation, unit testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and management.
Support code deployments, production issues, and application enhancements.

Required Skills

Technical:

Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including developing complex ETL workflows and mappings.
Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
Advanced PL/SQL programming and experience writing complex SQL queries.
Performance tuning experience for Informatica mappings and SQL queries.
Strong Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
Experience with data ingestion and integration from multiple source systems, including REST APIs.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
Ability to develop test cases and perform unit testing.

Preferred Skills

MuleSoft integration experience.
Autosys job scheduling.
Python programming.
Tableau or other reporting experience.
Database design and data modeling.
Experience with source control tools such as SVN or BitBucket.
Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, IBM UDeploy, IBM UBuild, or Ansible.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise Data Warehouse environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

7+ years of Informatica ETL development experience.
A background in Data Warehouse projects.
Experience with end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows.
Self-motivated and proactive, able to drive deliverables independently.
