Position: Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper
Environment: Fast-paced public accounting environment supporting a diverse client portfolio with high-volume bookkeeping and accounting needs.



Compensation: $52,000 - $63,000



Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Established CPA firm providing accounting, bookkeeping, tax, audit, and advisory services to a broad range of business and individual clients.

Position Details

* Full-cycle accounts payable processing
* General ledger maintenance and invoice coding
* Bank and account reconciliations
* Financial statement preparation and monthly write-up work
* Payroll tax reporting, including 941 and RT6 filings
* Support multiple client accounts and maintain accurate financial records
* Assist with month-end close and related accounting functions

Required / Desired Skills

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or public accounting environment
* Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
* Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client-service environment
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
