Role Description The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for launching, equipping, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Supermercados Morelos' new Distribution Center in Oklahoma City. This role will lead warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation, and distribution activities while building the infrastructure, systems, and team needed to support the company's long-term expansion strategy. Areas of Responsibility Distribution Center Startup and Operations Inventory Management and Accuracy Warehouse Process Design and Implementation Transportation and Store Delivery Operations WMS Implementation and Inventory Controls Cold Storage Expansion Planning Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Team Development and Leadership Process Standardization and Continuous Improvement Logistics Performance Reporting and KPI Management Key Responsibilities Lead the startup and operational readiness of a new distribution center in Oklahoma City Design and implement receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution processes Establish inventory management standards using WMS, FIFO, FEFO, and 5S methodologies Oversee daily distribution activities serving multiple retail locations Manage warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and logistics costs Develop and lead a high-performing warehouse and logistics team Coordinate with suppliers, store operations, purchasing, and executive leadership Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and operational standards Support future expansion into frozen and refrigerated distribution operations Develop KPIs, reporting tools, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline focused on process improvement and operational excellence. Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations Experience within grocery retail, food distribution, consumer goods, or supermarket environments preferred Experience launching or scaling warehouse/distribution operations strongly preferred Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Strong inventory management and logistics planning experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work cross-functionally and drive operational excellence Preferred Qualifications Experience with cold storage, frozen foods, or perishables distribution Knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, OSHA, and food safety regulations Experience implementing Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs Forklift certification and/or OSHA certification preferred Benefits Provided by the Company Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance & Short-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Employee Discount Program Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Annual Performance Bonus Competitive Compensation Package Opportunity to lead a strategic growth initiative with direct executive visibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Supermercados Morelos
