Information Technology Technician

Location or Remote: On site

Contract Duration: Still figuring that out Rate: $45/hr.

Must Haves: Staff Augmentation Statement of Work Information Technology Technician Overview Vendors will review the required staff augmentation statement of work and identify staff that fulfill these requirements. Vendors will provide the following for each candidate: 1. Full Resume 2. Hourly Rate 3. Available Start Date 4. Please note if this staff is amenable to Contract to Hire. This is not a requirement though. For each submission CDTA will review each resume and identify who we would like to interview. CDTA will schedule the interview with the candidate directly, we would prefer in person interviews, but Teams interviews are acceptable for candidates outside our area. Interviews will consist of 20-30 minutes of interview questions with several staff members and 20–30-minute technical test. Based on the outcomes of the interviews CDTA will award the staff augmentation to the winning vendor and work back on getting a contract signed. Notes: • This is an on-site part-time 3 day a week position at CDTA's main facilities at 110 Watervliet Ave, Albany NY. • Not all qualifications are required to be met as these are just a guide to the type of staff we are looking for to fill this position. • See the working conditions at the end for more details.

Reports to: Senior Systems Administrator

Job Purpose The Information Technology Technician is a member of the Help Desk responsible for providing high-quality IT support services and solutions that meet CDTA's enterprise infrastructure goals. Primary responsibilities include delivering and expanding critical IT services, infrastructure, and standards, executing technical projects successfully, planning for future IT needs, and documenting IT guidelines and standards.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various IT issues, such as hardware failures, software errors, network problems, and user queries.
• Assist with system upgrades, network migrations, and software rollouts to ensure smooth and efficient transitions and implementations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory to ensure security and compliance.
• Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software assets and documents and track their usage and status.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures and take corrective actions as needed to prevent and resolve security breaches and incidents.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of IT documentation, such as user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures to facilitate user education and support.
• Provide basic network support, such as troubleshooting connectivity issues and assisting with network configurations to ensure network availability and functionality.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups and system updates to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Attend the bi-weekly IT Operations Meetings with status update on current projects and issues.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or certification in an Information Technology Services related field, or 3 years of work experience in an Information Technology support related position
• Relevant information technology (IT) certifications
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of network support, system security, and IT documentation

Working Conditions

• On-site work: You will work on-site for three days a week Monday through Friday, 8 hours each day. Remote work is only allowed for off-hour user support.
• Manual labor: You will be required to do some heavy lifting and other manual labor tasks.
