Marketing and Ecosystem Coordinator (Raleigh)

For more than three decades, Hutchison has advised high-growth technology and life sciences companies and the venture capital and angel investors who support them on the legal and business issues that shape their growth. We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and high-energy Marketing and Ecosystem Coordinator to join our boutique law firm in Raleigh, NC. This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in marketing, business development, professional services, and the legal industry.

The Marketing and Ecosystem Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the firm’s marketing and business development efforts by supporting practice leaders, lawyers, and other team members across a range of initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with the Management Committee, the partners, and other members of the team.

The Work:

• Work with firm leadership and attorneys to support and execute business development initiatives, including client growth opportunities, referral relationships, industry initiatives, and ecosystem development
• Develop and execute the firm's external communications and content efforts, including social media, website content, client and deal announcements, firm and attorney recognition, and other communications that highlight client successes, attorney expertise, and Hutchison's role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem
• Manage and help improve the firm's business development systems and processes, including CRM data quality, relationship and referral-source tracking, pipeline management, client feedback processes, and systems for capturing and following up on business development activity
• Track and report on key marketing and business development activity, including new clients, referral sources, key relationships, sponsorships, events, and closed deals; help identify trends, opportunities, and appropriate follow-up for firm leadership
• Support the partners in developing and strengthening the firm's strategic relationships within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including investors, founders, clients, referral sources, economic development organizations, and other key partners
• Help identify opportunities for engagement, coordinate partner-directed relationship-building initiatives, and ensure appropriate follow-up and ongoing touchpoints
• Manage and track the firm's sponsorships, conferences, events, and other business development investments, including attorney participation, follow-up, and outcomes, and provide information to help firm leadership evaluate future participation
• Work with attorneys to support business development opportunities, including client and prospect engagement, relationship development, speaking opportunities, conferences, and other activities aligned with individual and firm growth priorities
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the firm's marketing and business development efforts, including processes, tools, and new initiatives, and bring ideas and recommendations to firm leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and professional experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, business development, communications, or a related role
• Professional services, legal, venture/startup, or B2B experience is a plus
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong technology skills, including Microsoft 365, AI tools, and common CRM, marketing, social media, and project management platforms
• Experience creating polished visual content using Canva, Adobe Express, PowerPoint, or similar tools
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail

This is a hybrid role; in person 3-4 days per week, remote 1-2 days per week after 90 days.

Salary range: $55,000-$60,00/ year
