Job Description

This role combines setup, teardown, and field service work for mobile trailers used on job sites. You will prepare units for customer use, perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical service, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The position requires a hands-on technician who can work independently, manage service orders, and provide professional on-site support to customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down mobile trailers for use at job sites, ensuring all systems are properly installed and operational.
• Perform service work on customer units in the field, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical repairs.
• Monitor HVAC systems and operations, and perform routine preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Conduct HVAC system checks and maintenance in line with company guidelines and repair any faulty equipment or systems.
• Complete work orders and service orders accurately and promptly using the Field Service Application.
• Maintain the proper working condition of all tools, equipment, and service vehicles used in daily operations.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of equipment, tools, and materials required to complete daily service tasks.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for construction, assembly, installation, and repair work.
• Perform construction, assembly, and installation tasks related to mobile trailer setup and field service work.
• Conduct service calls in branch territories as needed and provide courteous, professional customer service on-site.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
• Follow all safety procedures while working in the yard, on job sites, and at customer locations.
• Adapt to changing business needs and perform duties associated with branch service or field service technician roles as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proven carpentry skills applicable to construction, assembly, and setup of mobile trailers.
• Demonstrated HVAC skills, including system checks, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with repair and service of building-related systems.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical systems and components used in mobile units and job site trailers.
• Basic plumbing skills for installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in mobile units.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for construction and service tasks.
• Ability to complete work orders and service orders using a Field Service Application or similar digital tools.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing daily tasks and priorities.
• A current valid driver’s license and a good driving record suitable for operating company vehicles.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers on job sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some experience with customer relationship management tools or practices is preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisory capacity or working alongside other trades is a plus.
• Experience in field service, construction, or assembly environments is beneficial.
• Comfort working in outdoor environments and on active job sites.
• Willingness to receive on-the-job training to advance technical skills, including toward a journeyman card.

Work Environment

You will work primarily at a yard located in Dacula, with occasional travel to customer sites as needed. The schedule typically runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work during peak seasons. The role is largely outdoors and on active job sites, requiring comfort working in varying weather conditions and around construction activities. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, and other trade-specific equipment to perform setup, installation, and service tasks. The environment is hands-on and field-oriented, suited to technicians who enjoy working outside, moving between the yard and customer locations, and engaging in physically active work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dacula, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
