Position Overview Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Birmingham, Alabama Duration: 12+ Months Contract Hours per Week: 40.0, 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: IT Engineering Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens or GC holders only) Level of Experience: Senior Key Responsibilities Responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a cross‑functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. Understands and analyzes requirements for a single component. Translates analysis into design by designing solutions to address specific requirements. Develops modules with moderate guidance. Applies knowledge and skills to a variety of standard activities and works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. Identifies and troubleshoots discrepancies detected within processed data using SQL and healthcare integration engine technology. Experience utilizing healthcare integration engines to process information (Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Mirth). Demonstrated understanding of multi‑threaded software design and development. Demonstrated understanding of development in a process‑oriented/regulated environment and adherence to a quality management system. Qualifications Mid‑to‑high level SQL experience (write, modify, run queries, scripts, stored procedures). BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related Engineering discipline (preferred). 4‑5 years of professional experience.
