Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 06/01/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: /n RN - CVICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for certain device patients /n• Required to work 2 weekends per month /n• Must work 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) /n• Float as needed to other ICUs or floors when required /n• Dress code requires black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with scrub jackets/vests only /n• Work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps /n• Use Meditech documentation system /n• Support from free floating charge nurse, unit secretary, and Administrative Care Tech Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM /n• Student Nurse Externs available on variable shifts to assist with tech duties /n• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS /n• Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations on unit /n• Must have strong critical care experience including CVICU experience /n• Advanced skills required: PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring, preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT /n• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS /n/n Facility: /n This medical center operates a prestigious 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit staffed by 5 full-time surgeons who perform high volume and advanced cardiac surgeries.
