This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for keeping a shift of warehouse associates on track, productive, and safe. You'll be the go-to person on the floor — solving problems in real time, keeping work moving, and making sure the team hits daily targets.
What You'll Do
- Lead and direct a team of warehouse associates throughout the shift
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and adjust workflow as priorities shift
- Track and report daily production numbers, attendance, and shift performance
- Train new associates on processes, safety procedures, and expectations
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate shift updates and issues to site management
- Handle basic troubleshooting — equipment issues, staffing gaps, order discrepancies
What You'll Need
- Prior experience as a lead, supervisor, or team lead in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Comfortable with basic math — counts, ratios, production numbers
- Familiarity with Excel (entering data, reading reports, basic spreadsheets)
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout a full shift (up to [X] lbs)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to keep a team accountable
- Reliable and punctual — this role sets the tone for the shift
- Forklift/RF scanner experience a plus (not required)
