About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner, supporting the development and execution of sector strategy, employer and industry partnerships, and workforce initiatives. This role involves championing the integration of emerging technologies into educational programs, ensuring that academic offerings align with labor market demand, and driving innovation in academic programs and skills training. The AVP will also be responsible for grant development, management, and compliance, as well as supporting the coordination of workforce and economic development initiatives. Candidates for the AVP position must have a master's degree with a focus on higher education, planning, management, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years' experience in higher education administration, particularly in the areas of advanced manufacturing, engineering, bioscience, or skilled trades, is preferred. The role requires outstanding communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, as well as a proven ability to build partnerships with industry, community, and educational stakeholders. Experience in strategic planning, curriculum development, and project management is essential, along with an entrepreneurial mindset and proficiency in research, analytics, and decision-making. The AVP will be expected to work with cross-functional teams, curate instructional resources, and evaluate technology solutions to enhance academic and operational objectives.
