Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and systems to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and proficiency with various hand tools and testing equipment. Duties Assemble electronic devices and systems according to detailed schematics and technical drawings, ensuring adherence to IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Perform soldering using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques, maintaining high-quality workmanship. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and ohmmeters to verify component placement, electrical connections, and circuit integrity. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to accurately connect electrical components and wiring harnesses. Operate power tools and machining equipment safely for mechanical assembly tasks, including mounting components onto enclosures or chassis. Conduct testing of assembled units using electrical testing equipment to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues as needed. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while following safety protocols related to electrical assembly and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to review design specifications and improve assembly procedures for efficiency and quality. Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations or issues encountered during production. Experience Proven experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly environments, with a strong understanding of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly processes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electrical wiring is essential. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools used in mechanical assembly. Experience with machining or working with mechanical components is a plus. Use of calipers, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing instruments confidently. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes within an electronics environment combined with electrical experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to quality workmanship are critical for success in this role.
