Job Description

• This role focuses on MIG welding steel components for conveyor systems while consistently meeting engineering specifications and quality standards
• You will interpret detailed blueprints, prepare and execute welds, and operate a variety of metalworking machinery in a growing fabrication environment

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components used in conveyor systems according to engineering specifications and quality requirements
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints to understand weld locations, sizes, and technical requirements
• Measure and lay out weld locations and sizes accurately before welding to ensure proper fit and alignment
• Review drawings and instructions thoroughly prior to beginning each welding task to confirm materials, methods, and sequence of operations
• Execute welds using appropriate equipment, techniques, and filler metals as specified on drawings and work orders
• Operate metalworking machinery such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, saws, brakes, and shears safely and efficiently

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding on steel components
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints accurately
• Experience measuring and laying out weld locations and sizes with precision
• Demonstrated ability to execute welds using the proper equipment and filler metals according to specifications on drawings
• Skill in reviewing and understanding drawings prior to beginning welding tasks
• Competence in the proper use of metalworking machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, saws, brakes, and shears

This is a Permanent position based out of Dearborn, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
