We are seeking talented professionals to join our manufacturing operations team.

Role summary / purpose

As a Global Supply Chain Group Leader, you will be responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the training, developing, and evaluating of hourly team members
• Participate in the development of highly effective teams
• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas
• Meet or exceed production cost schedules and maintain quality requirements
• Maintain awareness of quality standards, communicate department quality goals, and leverage resources to solve quality issues
• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and management
• Understand and consistently administer National and Local Agreements between the company and the United Auto Workers Union
• Implement and follow systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues
• Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping
• Motivate, train, and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods
• Ensure team members receive adequate job instruction training (JIT)
• Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing and synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, cost control, and productivity improvements
• Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities

• Position Type: 2 openings available
• Preferred Work Schedule: 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) or 3rd shift (10pm-6am)
• Physical Requirements: No physical requirements
• Driving Requirements: No driving of company vehicles required
