This role focuses on prescription processing, patient interaction, and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.Work Schedule/Shift InformationMonday – Friday: shifts scheduled between 0700 and 2330Saturdays & Federal Holidays: shifts scheduled between 0800 and 1630Shifts are typically 8.5 hours in durationWork schedules may vary depending on staffing needs and operational demandsJOB DUTIES:Perform a full range of pharmacy technician duties in an outpatient settingFill and refill prescriptions and enter orders into pharmacy systemsAssist patients and providers with medication-related requestsMonitor for drug interactions and report adverse reactionsProcess prescriptions for legend drugs, OTC products, and medical suppliesSupport inventory management, including stocking, ordering, and handling out-of-stock itemsConduct basic quality checks such as reviewing expired medications and supporting documentation/reportingQualificationsWork AuthorizationMust be a U.S. CitizenEducationGraduate of: An ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician program, ORA formal pharmacy technician training program (technical, hospital, or retail-based), ORA U.S. Military medical services training programCertificationActive certification required: PTCB (PTCE) ORNHA (ExCPT)BLS (American Red Cross Basic Life Support Course for Health Care Providers)This position requires provided documentation of a Tuberculosis screening, physical examination, and immunization records. Annual flu vaccinations are required.ExperienceMinimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a pharmacy technician after graduation
