This role represents the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner, maintaining full compliance with DOT and all other applicable regulations.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDelivery & Route OperationsPrepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papersDeliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer needsDocument delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives; report any discrepancies to the companyMaintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are receivedSafety & Vehicle MaintenanceMaintain a safe driving record free of violations and adhere to all DOT and applicable safety regulationsInspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other systems to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mindMaintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements; maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processesSafely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as requiredTeamwork & StandardsPerform occasional warehouse and counter duties as needed to support the teamFollow all company policies and procedures, including safety initiatives and guidelinesAdhere to the rules and regulations set forth in the Employee HandbookQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1–2 years' work experience; distribution or driving experience preferredValid driver's license and clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) requiredStrong customer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform frequent ascents/descents from the truck during deliveriesAbility to sit for extended periods; work in variable indoor/outdoor temperature conditionsBENEFITSEligible to enroll on the 1st of the month following 45 days of employment:Medical, Dental & VisionShort & Long-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)TelehealthGym Reimbursement401(k) with Company MatchFree Surgery & Imaging Program*Free Medications*Delta Perks — Local DiscountsDiscount HubCoverage available for familiesFree Surgery & Imaging and Free Medications programs are subject to eligibility and program terms.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
