JOB SUMMARY Create menu magic and make hungry people happy. Showcase your skills by preparing daily menu preparations, ensure a sanitary and well-maintained station, and prepare food in a quick and sanitary manner. The Line Cook position is responsible for opening and closing individual stations in the kitchen and preparing dishes that accommodate customer needs in a timely manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures Ability to cook and plate menu items in a timely manner Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization Working knowledge of all major and minor sauces Working knowledge of meat and fish cookery REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of specialized equipment: Mastering of slicer, Robot-coupe, convection ovens Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer’s needs in a timely manner. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 3+ years industry experience Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) BENEFITS Benefits include PTO, health, vision, dental, life insurance, 401(k) for qualifying employees.
