The assignment starts on June 1, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, and consists of 12‑hour night shifts (36 hours per week). Job Details Work on a 28‑bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population: general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients. Fast‑paced, challenging environment with learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses. Schedule: every other weekend required; no on‑call responsibilities. Must have 2+ years of straight medical‑surgical experience (not float, not SDU/TELE). Level I or II trauma level experience required. Travel experience preferred. Must meet a strict attendance policy – 3 strikes for absences or more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized patient care plans. Focus on patient‑centered care emphasizing safety and quality outcomes. Participate in Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) to promote teamwork and positive work environment. Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication for comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Minimum of 2 + years of recent hospital bedside experience. BLS (AHA) certification required. Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification. Skills checklist completed within one year of application required. Travel experience preferred.
