Part-Time Authorization Specialist
Cochise Sleep Center – Sierra Vista, AZ

Cochise Sleep Center is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented  Part-Time Authorization Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations and verifying patient benefits to ensure coverage before services are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance eligibility through insurance portals and by contacting insurance companies.
• Obtain prior authorizations for sleep studies and related services.
• Confirm authorization approvals, including accurate start and end dates.
• Verify referrals and ensure all required documentation is received before scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of authorizations and insurance information.
• Communicate with physician offices, insurance companies, and patients as needed regarding authorization status.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with medical insurance authorizations preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
