Job Summary (List Format) - Senior Endoscopy Technician


- Position: Senior Endoscopy Technician (Mission Hills, CA)
- Employment Type: 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; no weekends, holidays, or on-call required
- Setting: Stand-alone outpatient endoscopy center
- Patient Population: ASA 1, 2, & 3 patients
- Team: Work collaboratively with 3 Gastroenterologists, nurses, and staff
- Daily Volume: Assist with 34-36 procedures per day
- Procedures Performed: Upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomy, biopsy, PEG placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, X-track
- Scope Types Used: Colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, Enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, Fiber Optics, Flexible Sigmoidoscopes
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up procedure rooms and back tables
- Assist physicians during procedures
- High-level disinfection and reprocessing of endoscopic equipment
- Operate and maintain Olympus and Erbe equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years as Endoscopy Technician in endoscopy center or GI lab
- Strong scope reprocessing skills
- Experience with a variety of endoscopy equipment (listed above)
- Certifications Required:
- SGNA education completion for GI/Endo, or Certified Surgical Tech (CST) with 3 years endo experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Olympus processors (CV-190), light sources (CLV-190), OER Pro, and HLD reprocessing
- Familiarity with EPIC and ProVation documentation systems
- Proficient in back table set-up and room preparation
- Other Details:
- Facility may cancel up to one shift per pay period
- No floating to sister facilities
