Junior Accountant - Tax & Accounting (CPA Firm)

Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
- Conduct interim and year-end fieldwork for business clients
- Analyze financial information on assets, liabilities and equity, and prepare reports that project or forecast results
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for business clients
- Compile financial information and prepare journal entries to produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and schedules
- Coordinate year-end tax planning with individual clients
- Prepare business and individual tax returns
- Help maintain the firm's paperless tax preparation and e-filing system
What We're Looking For
- Degree in accounting or business, with a basic understanding of accounting (required)
- 0–3 years of experience in accounting and tax (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- CPA candidate or CPA exam eligible (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strict discretion with confidential client information
- Clear communication skills and a client-service mindset
