If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryThe Prescription Pharmacist performs dispensing pharmaceutical care including patient consultation and supervisory duties pertaining to filling of prescriptions. This position approves orders during filling process and oversees assigned subordinates. The position assures optimum service to patient, physician or other authorized individuals, within federal and state regulations.RESPONSIBILITIESOversee workflow management, prescription processing, verification, dispensing, and shipment activitiesEnsure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and Grady Health System policiesAssist with staffing, onboarding, training, and performance coaching of pharmacy personnelProvide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians, ensuring high performance and excellent patient serviceMaintain inventory control and medication storage standardsReview and report workload, productivity, and budget metrics to pharmacy leadershipAddress compliance concerns, customer feedback, and non-standard service requests professionallyStay current on applicable pharmacy regulations and ensure team awarenessCollaborate with clinic leadership and providers to enhance retail pharmacy services and patient experienceSupport quality improvement initiatives and new workflow implementationReview, verify, and dispense oncology and specialty medications in accordance with state and federal regulationsSupport management of high-risk medications and specialty drug monitoring requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSFully licensed Pharmacist in the State of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days by reciprocity or examMinimum 3 years of pharmacy practice experience in a clinical, retail, or outpatient pharmacy settingStrong understanding of pharmacy operations, including business and compliance functionsAbility to communicate effectively across teams and lead pharmacy staffPrior experience in a charge pharmacist or supervisory role strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, patient-focused environmentEqual Opportunity Employer-Minorities/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.Core CompetenciesThese competencies reflect the values and behaviors expected of all Grady team members, regardless of role.
