Construction Superintendent – Lead High-Stakes Commercial Site Operations Nationwide Job Overview Company: On The Mark Management Salary/Pay Rate: $50,000 to $80,000 per year (based on experience Location: Chantilly, VA (90% Travel Required) Job/Employment Type: Full Time Project Scope: Commercial General Construction Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record. The Opportunity You will serve as the primary field leader, driving the successful delivery of complex commercial projects from the ground up. This role empowers you to act as the central point of command on-site, where your judgment and technical expertise ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. How You Will Make an Impact Coordinate all on-site activities and resources to ensure the construction team meets daily milestones and long-term project goals. Supervise day-to-day field operations, delegating tasks to crews and managing staff schedules to maximize productivity. Review construction documents and manufacturer data for completeness to ensure all work aligns with architectural specifications. Develop master project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans to proactively manage labor, equipment, and material logistics. Monitor site safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain a secure environment for all workers and visitors. Communicate critical field updates and technical judgment calls to Project Managers to maintain alignment between the site and the office. Mentor field personnel and foremen, providing performance evaluations and technical training to foster continuous professional growth. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction leadership or a related supervisory role. Strong foundational knowledge of commercial construction methods and building systems. Proven ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and technical documentation. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to travel up to 90% of the time to oversee nationwide project sites. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of managing multi-million dollar project budgets. Advanced proficiency in developing temporary site facilities and complex work plans. Experience in business development support, including assisting with bids and proposals.
