General Manager

Responsibilities As General Manager, you will oversee the daily, monthly, and yearly financial performance of the club, drive revenue, and manage expenses. You will lead membership sales, member satisfaction, staff training, and employee development. You will collaborate with corporate leadership and department managers to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, including fitness, personal training, and ancillary revenue streams. You will coach and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, handle payroll and inventory, and maintain club operations to high standards. Account for club's financial performance and meet membership and revenue forecasts. Oversee the Fitness Manager and Fitness Classes to ensure KPIs are met. Collaborate with personal training department to meet training revenue targets. Coach & mentor staff, including fitness managers and personal trainers. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for underperforming employees. Attend monthly management meetings with corporate staff to review club performance. Track completion of opening/closing checklists, repairs, cleaning, and inventory. Monitor flagged check‑ins to increase revenue and collections. Assist in payroll processing and approval. Ensure facility maintenance, locker rooms, and equipment meet standards. Effectively communicate plans and goals to staff. Primary Qualifications Must show a proven track record of success in sales. Experience in the fitness industry is a plus but not required. Individuals should be able to follow our proven sales system and embrace a collaborative team culture. Secondary Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing and growing member base. Demonstrated ability to drive sales personally and through membership staff. Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and follow‑up skills. Computer literacy. Manager Schedule Monday: 9 am – 7 pm Tuesday: 9 am – 7 pm Wednesday: 9 am – 7 pm Thursday: 9 am – 7 pm Friday: 9 am – 2 pm Saturday: 9 am – 12 noon Minimum Requirements Must have sales and operations experience. Must have a positive attitude, be team‑oriented, a good leader, and career‑driven. At least three years of management experience in a sales/revenue‑generation environment, including direct profit and loss management and staff management. Required Skills and Experience Fitness club management experience preferred. Physical demands: ability to walk throughout the club, climb stairs, bend and lift as necessary. Must be able to work at least 48 hours per week or other hours as required by business needs. AED/CPR certification preferred. Job Competencies Required Develop a high‑performing team. Make decisions using data and critical thinking. Compensation and Benefits Monthly bonus compensation: $500–$1,000. Annual earnings: $62,000–$75,000. One‑week vacation PTO.
