Associate Vice President (AVP) of Revenue Cycle

Our client, a respected and mission-driven behavioral health and substance use treatment organization, is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President (AVP) of Revenue Cycle to join their leadership team.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the organization’s revenue cycle operations across the patient care continuum.

The ideal candidate will bring deep healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience within a hospital, behavioral health, or inpatient healthcare environment, along with a strong understanding of patient accounts, reimbursement strategy, payer relationships, billing operations, collections, revenue integrity, and systems/process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all revenue cycle operations including billing, collections, AR, insurance verification/authorization, and patient accounts

• Drive KPI development, revenue optimization, and cash flow improvement initiatives

• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Compliance, IT, Admissions, and Clinical leadership

• Oversee payer relationships, vendor management, and reimbursement strategy

• Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies

• Manage and mentor revenue cycle staff and leadership

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience

• Strong hospital, inpatient, or behavioral health industry experience preferred

• Experience overseeing billing, collections, reimbursement, and patient financial operations

• Proven leadership, operational, and strategic planning capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
