For part-time instructors teaching EAR -5656, Family, Child, and Community Health & Safety, in lieu of the applicant having a master’s degree, the college will consider, as appropriate, undergraduate degrees coupled with specific instructor-level qualifications include the following certifications: American Red Cross First Aid, Communicable Disease Recognition, Child Abuse and Neglect Recognition, Child and Adult CPR , and/or Knowledge of Health and Safety in Child Care Programs. Demonstrated: In-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught. Proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught. Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff. Belief in and concern for community service. High ethical and moral character. Proficiency with email. Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems. Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors. Preferred Qualifications: A doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the subject area.
