The PRN Registered Nurse (RN) at Burruss Correctional Training Center | Forsyth, GA provides flexible, as-needed clinical coverage and plays a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting overall clinical operations. This position requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform assessments
• Responding to clinical needs and emergent situations
• Collaborate with providers, mental health staff, and nursing team
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with protocols
• Support continuity of care across shifts

Qualifications (Required)

• Active RN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
• Current CPR certification (must be active)
• Required experience in one or more of the following: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a structured environment

PRN Requirements

• Must be available for a minimum of 2 shifts per month
• Must be available for at least 2 weekends per month
• Must be able to provide some holiday coverage as needed
