Production Foreman

Job Details Job Location: GRI Towers Texas Inc - Amarillo, TX 79108 General Description / Objective: To plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. Roles and Tasks Plans a production schedule for the job Implements and controls the production schedule Reviews and adjusts the schedule where needed Determines required resources (human and material) Manages human and material resources to meet production targets Makes decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement Works out and implements standard operating procedures for production operations Ensures that standard operating procedures are adhered to Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures Sets product quality standards Monitors quality standards of products Implements and enforces quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct problems Determines and implements improvements to the production process Prepares and maintains production reports Monitors and reviews the performance of staff and organizes necessary interventions for improvement Estimates production costs Sets production budgets Manages production budgets Implements cost control programs Ensures efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management Profile / Professional Competencies / Job Requirements Education Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university; or six (6) years direct related experience and/or training; or High School and related experience required. Specific Knowledge Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques Raw materials Quality systems and standards Health and safety standards and compliance Process improvement techniques Business, finance and management principles Human Resources management principles and practices Machines and tools Engineering and technology principles and practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Leadership and people skills Languages Fluent in English IT / Technical Knowledge Solid computer skills Minimum Experience Required 3‑5 years of Manufacturing Management Internal Candidates and/or Employees from other GRI factories Considered competent for this job if they have at least 5 years of experience on similar processes/role.
