Finance Analyst - Corporate Finance - BD and M&A

Financial analyst supporting Exelixis executive leadership on corporate development, business development, and M&A decisions. Role involves building financial models, conducting valuations, and performing lifecycle management analyses across potential transactions and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Prepare company and asset valuations for licensing and M&A transaction opportunities
Build merger consequences and long-range planning models; perform discounted cash flow analyses
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses on deal economics and lifecycle management alternatives
Develop standardized financial analysis models and comparable company analyses for biotech and pharma peers
Support cross-functional collaboration on business investment and divestment recommendations to senior management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field with 3 years experience; or MBA with 1 year experience
Expert-level financial modeling and GAAP/non-GAAP financial statement analysis
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; proficiency with FactSet, Bloomberg, or Capital IQ
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex analyses clearly
Experience in investment banking or management consulting preferred
Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Compensation: $94,000 - $134,000 base annually
