Leading the legal strategy for critical payments partnerships, the full-time Commercial Counsel, Licensed Attorney will manage the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial agreements while collaborating cross-functionally to drive innovative deal structures in a remote-first environment. Key responsibilities Own the drafting, negotiation, and execution of tailored commercial agreements with strategic partners in the payments and fintech sectors Develop novel agreement frameworks and provide practical legal advice that balances risk with business needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and accelerate deal timelines across the payments portfolio Required qualifications 5+ years of transactional legal experience in-house or at a leading law firm, with a JD and an active U.S. state license Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements with fintechs, banks, and payment networks Experience navigating regulated financial services environments and translating regulatory changes into commercial guidance Proven ability to manage a high-volume deal pipeline with precision in drafting and risk assessment Familiarity with utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and output quality
